Vision and Mission of InFront (my office)

Related with my previous article about vision and mission, now i want to tell you about vision and mission of my office…(so lucky i am,studying and also work…thanks God)

About Infront

Infront is a Non Government Organization (NGO) which works at natural resources and environmental issues. Infront will set a strategic position to support equitable and sustainable natural resources management towards community welfare.

Missions

Capacity building and human resources development to support natural resources management.

Promoting knowledge and research based natural resources management by intervening policy of natural resources management and its implementation in various levels.

Strengthening community right towards community welfare and equity in benefit distribution of natural resources management.

Purposes

Strengthening community knowledge and skills through training, courses, and non formal education.

xpanding action researches in natural resources and environment.

Strengthening policy framework in national resources and environment at local, regional, and national level through communication and coordination.

Activities

Formulating creative skills, knowledge, and experience to sets of alternative methodologies in natural resources and environmental management

Developing researches related to policy, regulation, institution, resources economic, techniques, and other related issues towards better natural resources and environment management

Strengthening capacity of human resources who works for natural resources and environment management through training, courses, publication, and non formal education

Strengthening horizontal and vertical partnership towards better implementation in natural resources and environment management

Developing other activities which are not conflicting with vision, mission, and purposes

Overview of Project Activities

Study on institution strengthening and developing mechanism of benefit sharing in community based forest management. A case study in Cileuya Village, Cimahi sub-district, Kuningan District, West Java. Research funded by Lembaga Alam Tropika

Indonesia – LATIN (www.latin.or.id) and Departement for International Development (DfID-UK) Multistakeholder Forum Programme (www.dfid.or.id). Research was carried out in 2004.

Study on land use model in Gunung Ciremai National Park, funded by Lembaga Alam Tropika Indonesia – LATIN (www.latin.or.id) and Departement for International Development (DfID-UK) Multistakeholder Forum Programme (www.dfid.or.id). Research was carried out in 2005

Study on integrated national park management model, funded by Ministry of Forestry Republic of Indonesia (www.dephut.go.id) (on going 2005-2010)

Study on reconstruction of community based forest management, an action research, funded by Departement for International Development (DfID-UK) Multistakeholder Forum Programme (www.dfid.or.id), The Ford Foundation (www.thefordfoundation.or.id) and ICRAF (on going 2005 – delayed)

    Very good a mission statement.
    Ada kutipan menarik dari Peter Senge seorang pakar Learning Organization yang perlu direnungkan dalam penyusunan sebuah pernyataan misi.
    “The point of a Mission Statement is not what it is .
    But what it does to you !”

    Jadi inti dari sebuah pernyataan misi bukanlah apa yang tertulis, namun seberapa jauh dia meng”gerakkan” anda.
    Saya sangat yakin, misi Infront akan sangat berarti bagi Pipit, bila misi tsb selaras dengan misi pribadi Pipit sebagai seorang pemerhati lingkungan
